Express Employment is hiring Fitter/Welders for a great, well-established facility in the Roanoke, VA area!

Scheduled: Mon-Thurs, 3:30 PM - 3:00 AM 

Fitter/Welder Responsibilities:
- Perform welding and fitting tasks using techniques such as stick welding and operating power tools.
- Assemble metal parts according to blueprints and specifications.
- Utilize hand tools, including calipers, to ensure precise measurements and fits.
- Work with sheet metal to create structures and components.
- Operate a forklift to transport materials within the workshop.
- Apply basic math skills to interpret measurements and dimensions accurately.
- Assist in building and fabricating various metal structures.

Fitter/Welder Experience:
- Prior experience with press brake machines is preferred.
- Proficiency in stick welding techniques.
- Familiarity with power tools commonly used in welding and fitting processes.
- Ability to assemble components accurately based on technical drawings.
- Competency in using hand tools and calipers for precise measurements.
- Experience working with sheet metal is advantageous.
- Prior forklift operation experience is a plus.
- Proficiency in basic math skills to perform calculations required for the job.
