Shipping/Receiving Lead
Ecopol America is searching for a Shipping Lead for our Griffin, GA facility. This position requires an individual who is safety conscious and able to perform required functions in a productive manner. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Reports to Plant Manager
• Supervise 2 material handlers
•Direct and coordinate the activities of wrapping team to assist in preparing orders;
•Manages the shipment and receipt of all products, materials, and supplies.
•Oversee work of others to ensure orders are received, pulled, and processed correctly.
•Collaborates and communicates with logistics technicians, customer service representatives, service providers, and others involved in the shipment and receipt of products
•Updates the status of incoming and outgoing shipments.
•Handle shipping activities to ensure accuracy, completeness, and condition of shipments.
•Schedule trucks for freight orders and ensure on time pickup and delivery.
•Trains new shipping employees
•Promote compliance with safety, quality, and productivity objectives.
•Maintaining inventory of all shipping materials; cycle counting of inventory;
•Other duties as assigned Education and Experience:
• High school diploma or equivalent
• SAP Business One
• Previous shipping experience required, at least 3 years
• Previous lead/supervisory experience required, at least 2 years
• Ability to lift up to 50+ lbs
• Ability to work in fast-paced, organized and positive warehouse environment
• Ability to multi-task in fast-paced production environment
• Ability to be attentive to detail/ time management
• Forklift experience
