Production Scheduler

Located in Lakeville, MN

Salary: $22/hr

Daily Responsibilities:

• Schedule customer orders and establish production schedules within established time requirements according to the following order of priorities:
1. Satisfying customer due dates
2. Meeting shipment forecasts
3. Achieve the best flow of work through the shop
• Work closely with the Production Supervisor and Shift Leads to see that customer requirements are properly executed and production schedules work well considering scheduling priorities
• Maintains dates on customer orders and manufacturing so that the current report reflects the latest information
• Promptly notifies the Production Supervisor each time a customer due date cannot be met or schedule date must be changed, explain why
• Actively pursues indications that a job may be falling behind schedule in order to provide the Production Supervisor as much time as possible for corrective action
• Works cooperatively with the Production Supervisor and Inventory Control to identify and requisition parts and materials in order to satisfy customer due dates
• Create a level supply schedule that satisfies customer demand with optimum inventory levels and resource utilization as dictated by division policy
• Identify, negotiate, and resolve conflicts with respect to material and capacity availability and order-promising integrity requests are satisfied
• Recommends and implements ways to improve scheduling processes and techniques
• Other duties/responsibilities as required and/or assigned

Requirements:

·         Associates Degree with 3+ years of experience OR 5+ years of relevant experience

·         3+ years of experience in supply chain or operations management

·         Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook

·         Ability to work with minimal supervision

·         Attention to detail

Schedule:

Monday - Friday, 7:30am – 4:00pm
