Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Deburring Technician to join our team in a dynamic metal shop environment. The Deburring Technician will be responsible for removing burrs, sharp edges, and excess material from metal parts and components, ensuring they meet quality standards and specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform deburring, grinding, polishing, and cleaning of metal parts using hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment.
- Inspect parts for burrs, sharp edges, and imperfections, ensuring all surfaces are smooth and meet quality standards.
- Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications to understand part requirements.
- Maintain and operate deburring equipment safely and efficiently.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to ensure timely completion of tasks and projects.
- Record and document work completed, noting any issues or discrepancies.
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Continuously improve deburring processes and techniques for efficiency and quality.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in deburring, metalworking, or a related field is preferred.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and deburring equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Basic computer skills for documentation and reporting.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
