Requirements:

• Prior experience in machine shop operations preferred.
• Ability to follow detailed instructions.
• Basic math skills, including decimals and fractions.
• Good communication skills, verbal and written.
• Ability to multi-task.
• Basic computer skills to allow entry of data into the inventory system.
• Ability to handle constructive criticism.
• Must perform all job documentation and other necessary paperwork.
• Majority of time will be spent standing, walking, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, and use of hands to fingers to operate machinery.
• Must have color vision, depth perception, close vision, distant vision, and ability to adjust focus.
• Must be able to hear well.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Valid Missouri drivers license with insurable driving record.

Duties:

• Parts are properly washed, shaken, tumbled, and prepared for further operations, inventory, and shipment.
• Move parts from the production line to the parts preparation area in a timely manner.
• Chips are properly cleaned and placed in designated scrap container.
• Parts designated for scrap are weight counted and accurately recorded on the red scrap tag.
• Completed red scrap tags are turned into Quality Control in a timely manner.
• Cleaned parts are properly identified for placement in the Secondary Department.
• Contaminated machine oil is properly cleaned and filtered and placed in the appropriate tank.
• Solvent is frequently changed in wash buckets to maximize parts cleaning efficiency.
• Accurately sorts parts when required.
• Parts washers, shakers, and tumblers are properly maintained, serviced, and cleaned.
• Parts buckets are kept clean and stored in an orderly manner.
• Maintains clean and orderly work area.
• Assists in other areas of production as required.
• Works overtime as required.
• Performs all other duties as assigned by management.
