We are currently hiring a Metal Roll Form Machine Operator for a Direct Hire Opportunity at our partner's team in Zionsville, IN.
Pay is $23.00 - $28.00 per hour, depending on experience. And you will start as an employee of our client's company with access to benefits, PTO, and other perks.
Our client works four 10-hour shifts Monday-Thursday.
This role is great for someone who has previous work experience in operating production manufacturing machinery. If you have metal manufacturing and processing experience that is even better!
This position requires you to have a mechanical aptitude, problem-solving skills to troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues, strong attention to details, organizational skills, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively independently or part of a team.
What will you be doing as a Metal Roll Form Machine Operator?
- Set-up and operate roll forming machines to produce metal components according to specifications.
- Adjust machine settings, including roll speeds, feeding mechanisms, and cutting tools, to achieve desired product dimensions and quality.
- Load coils of metal into the roll forming machines and ensure proper alignment and feeding.
- Monitor the production process, inspecting formed components for accuracy and quality.
- Make necessary adjustments to the machine settings or tooling to correct any defects or deviations.
- Perform routine maintenance on roll forming equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtown.
- Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues that may arise during the production process.
- Collaborate with other team members to optimize production efficiency and meet production targets.
- Maintain accurate production records, including material usage, production quantities, and equipment maintenance logs.
- Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
