Quality Control Inspector: Instrumentation and Electrical (I/E)

Job Description:
•Inspect all aspects of instrumentation and electro-mechanical systems including:

-Commercial / industrial electrical utility systems 

-Instrumentation installation and wiring 

-PLC and DCS wiring installations

-Analyzer installation and tubing / piping

-Enclosures and buildings fabrication practices

Work Hours: Monday-Friday 7am to 3:30 pm

Responsibilities:
•In process inspections and final inspections for the following:

oMetal fabrication and welding

oElectrical (NEC, NFPA, IEC, etc.)

oControl panels (electrical and instrumentation)

oAnalyzer systems

oPower terminal torque inspections

• Generating reports for internal and external (customer) use including the following: discrepancy, corrective action, non-conformance, shop performance and progress reports

• Administering and executing the UL labeling program

• Administering the customer satisfaction survey

• Participating in the design verification process including vendor documentation submittals

• Verifying proper document control procedures including project fabrication packages and revision levels on drawings and specifications

• Monitoring the condition of tools and equipment

• Monitoring housekeeping and cleaning

• Managing receiving inspections for all Customer Furnished Material (CFM) and special-order parts and material

• Conducting employee training for certifications• Administering the employee safety program

• Inspecting packaging and shipping of products to customers


Requirements:
•QA training for electro-mechanical and/or instrumentation systems is preferred
•Must be able to read blueprints for I/E and have knowledge of electrical installation requirements and procedures, quality standards for I/E installations, and be comfortable with the interpretation of customer supplied specifications
•Must be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel and be able to use an iPad and digital camera
•Must be comfortable with test procedures and execution including pressure testing, powering up electrical and instrumentation systems and powering up and verifying HVAC and ventilation systems
•Must have good knowledge of proper shipping and packaging requirements
