Job Description:

As a Certified J-Standard Solder Technician, you will be responsible for:

  • Performing precision soldering: Accurately soldering non-surface mount components, including turrets and various types of connections, according to J-Standard specifications.
  • Inspection and Quality Control: Conducting thorough inspections of solder joints and assemblies to ensure they meet stringent quality standards.
  • Reading and Interpreting Schematics: Utilizing your ability to read and interpret technical schematics and blueprints to ensure accurate soldering and assembly.
  • Maintenance of Equipment: Maintaining and calibrating soldering equipment to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
  • Documentation: Accurately documenting work performed, including any deviations from standards and necessary corrective actions.
  • Safety Compliance: Adhering to all safety protocols and maintaining a clean and organized work environment.

Qualifications:

  • Certification: Must hold a current J-Standard soldering certification.
  • Experience: Proven experience in soldering non-surface mounts, turrets, and connections.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical schematics and blueprints.
  • Attention to Detail: Demonstrated ability to produce high-quality solder joints and assemblies.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
  • Team Player: Ability to work effectively as part of a team as well as independently.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in a manufacturing or electronics environment.
  • Familiarity with additional soldering standards and techniques.
  • Basic computer skills for documentation purposes.
