We are seeking a Machine Operator to join a leading manufacturer of high-quality metal products in New Bern. As a Machine Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining a variety of machines used in the production of metal components and parts.

Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate machines, including lathes, mills, grinders, and other equipment to produce high-quality metal parts
• Monitor machines during operation to ensure proper functioning and make adjustments as needed
• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on machines to keep them in good working condition
• Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards and make adjustments as needed
• Follow all safety guidelines and regulations to prevent accidents or injuries
• Maintain a clean and organized work area

Requirements:

• Knowledge of machining tools and equipment, including lathes, mills, grinders, and other machines used in the production of metal components
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical specifications
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to work well in a team environment and communicate effectively with coworkers and supervisors
• Flexibility to work different shifts, including weekends and holidays if required
