Location:  Port of Tacoma, WA

Position Type:   Temp To Hire - This is a long-term full-time career with opportunities for advancement. 

Pay: $22.90

Schedule: Mon-Fri 6:30a, - 2:00pm

 

Railcar Technician Job Duties/Qualifications:
•    Responsible for the repair of various types of railcars and/or tank cars
•    Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions
•    Basic mechanical knowledge and experience with hand & power tools, including heavier air and electric powered tools and cutting torches
•    Prior experience as a Carman or Railcar Repair Technician highly desirable but not required
•    Must possess basic math skills and work and understand simple mathematical concepts
•    Ability to work in all-weather elements  
•    Ability to operate a forklift, man-lift, crane, backhoe, skid loader, hoist, or hydraulic boom is preferred but not required 
•    Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record to drive company vehicles
