Job Title: Maintenance Technician

 

Job Summary:

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for painting, cleaning, and performing general repair tasks. You will also oversee quality control and scheduling for any contracted work, ensuring that all service requests from residents are completed within a reasonable time frame. The ability to communicate effectively with the Community Manager, coworkers, and residents is crucial in this role. Familiarity with Fair Housing Laws and a minimum of 2 years of maintenance experience is required. This position involves physical labor, including lifting and carrying heavy objects, as well as mobility to perform various tasks at different properties within Central Oregon.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Perform painting, cleaning, and general repair tasks to maintain the properties in good condition.
  • Oversee quality control and scheduling for contracted work, ensuring timely completion.
  • Respond to service requests from residents within a 72-hour time frame.
  • Effectively communicate information to the Community Manager and address questions and concerns.
  • Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor when interacting with coworkers and residents.
  • Administer Fair Housing Laws to ensure compliance and fair treatment of all residents.
  • Uphold safety standards and protocols while performing maintenance tasks.
  • Lift and carry heavy objects for extended periods.
  • Be physically able to stand, bend, kneel, use ladders and stairs, and perform other required tasks.
  • Utilize cleaning solutions for cleaning activities in vacant apartments.
  • Possess your hand tools or be willing to purchase them.
  • Drive to different properties within Central Oregon as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of maintenance experience.
  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Strong knowledge of painting, cleaning, and general repair techniques.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Familiarity with Fair Housing Laws and regulations.
  • Ability to lift and carry heavy objects.
  • Physical agility to perform various tasks, including standing, bending, kneeling, using ladders and stairs, etc.
  • Detail-oriented and able to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Valid driver''s license and reliable transportation.
