Facilities Maintenance Technician

Located in Tyler, TX

Salary: $17- $19/hr

Express Employment Professionals is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician. The ideal candidate will have a broad skill set, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general maintenance knowledge. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine inspections and maintenance on building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and painting.
• Respond to emergencies such as, fire alarms, power failures, and elevator entrapment.
• Conduct preventive maintenance tasks to ensure the longevity and efficiency of facility equipment.
• Respond to maintenance requests in a timely and professional manner.
• Report mechanical and equipment malfunctions to Chief Building Engineer.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and building codes.
• Be sure to lock and unlock office doors each day.
• Replacing light bulbs and air filters.
• Must be able to move furniture, carry toilets, roll items up to 500 ft. and load them.

Qualifications:

• Hard working, timely, self reliant.
• Proven experience as a maintenance technician or in a similar role for 1-3 years.
• Strong knowledge of building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical.
• Ability to climb, bend, stand, and stoop for long periods of time.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work well with others.
• Physical ability to perform manual labor, including lifting heavy objects and working in various environments (indoor and outdoor).
