Position: Field Crane Mechanic

Location: Abita Springs, LA (Travel Required)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay Rate: Starting at $35/hr (Based on Experience); Per diem and expenses paid

Additional Compensation:

• Lots of overtime available; potential earnings over $100,000/year with overtime
• 1.5x salary for hours worked over 40 per week; 2x pay for all holiday call outs

Overview: We are seeking a skilled Field Crane Mechanic to join our team. This role requires travel and a valid driver's license. The ideal candidate will have experience with hydraulic and friction cranes.  Related experience could include a background in maintaining large diesel motors, ship engines, locomotives, heavy equipment, and other industrial machinery.

Responsibilities:

• Determine necessary tools and equipment for assigned tasks
• Perform scheduled maintenance and repairs on cranes and heavy equipment
• Operate hoists, cranes, lifts, and a variety of hand and power tools
• Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and electronic issues
• Conduct basic arc welding for repairs as needed
• Order parts and maintain repair records
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and other team members
• Perform preventative maintenance and hydraulic system maintenance
• Maintain inventory of supplies, tools, and equipment

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a mechanic working with cranes or heavy equipment
• Familiarity with hydraulic, mechanical, and electronic systems
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair complex machinery
• Basic welding skills preferred
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Willingness to travel and work overtime as needed
• OSHA 40 and TWIC will be a plus
