Position Summary:
As a CNC Program Specialist, you will be responsible for creating and optimizing CNC programs to ensure the efficient production of high-quality parts. Your expertise and attention to detail will play a critical role in maintaining the high standards of our manufacturing operations.

Essential Functions / Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop, write, and optimize CNC programs for various machines
  • Analyze and interpret technical drawings and specifications to create accurate programs
  • Set up and operate CNC machines as needed for program validation
  • Troubleshoot and resolve programming issues to minimize downtime
  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to improve processes and productivity
  • Maintain and update program documentation and records
  • Train and support machine operators on proper CNC programming and machine operation
  • Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards
  • Follow all safety and personnel policies.
  • Program new parts, revisions and update old programs for CNC mills and lathes.
  • Assist machinists with set up, trouble shooting and complex geometry problems.
  • Revise programs for part revisions and process improvements.
  • Maintain CNC file system and server software.
  • Assist engineers on designing components for manufacturing efficiency.
  • Communicate with service vendors and coordinate service appointments when machine maintenance is required.
  • Coordinate information technology requirements related to the needs of the machine shop.
  • Preform safety audits in the shop monthly.
  • Assign rework and walk-in jobs as required.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

  • 5+ years machining experience
  • Knowledge and experience using Mastercam CAM software in a manufacturing environment.
  • Familiarity with Unigraphics and ProE CAD software.
  • Proficiency in CAD/CAM software and CNC programming languages
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of machining principles
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
  • Reliable transportation
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Physical ability to work in a manufacturing environment

Skills Required:

  • Proficiency in CNC programming and CAD/CAM software
  • Knowledge of machining tools and equipment
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Basic computer skills for data entry and documentation

Physical Requirements:
