PAY RANGE: $23.00-$25.00

Key Responsibilities:

  • Rigger - Wire/Synthetic Rope/Chain Assembler & Fabricator is responsible for the production of assemblies that are used all over the world in nearly every level of manufacturing.
  • Calculate wire rope cut lengths, fitting requirements and identify the appropriate equipment to produce all varieties of wire or synthetic rope and chain assemblies such as: back splice, cut splice, eye splice, ring splice, chain splice, figure-eight splice knots, horseshoe splice or long splice as directed to complete projects.
  • Splicing wire or synthetic rope and fabricating chain slings by forming semi-permanent joints between two ropes or two parts of the same rope by partly untwisting and interweaving their stands to form a stopper at the end of a line, to form a loop or eye in the rope or for joining two ropes together.
  • Assist with steel cables & chains.
  • Cut to specific length, place correct connections on ends.
  • Fabrication, cutting, assembly of cables on a daily basis. 
  • Review, interpret drawings and blueprints and capacity tables.
  • Understand codes and specifications as outlined on order tickets.

 

Skills & Experience:

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Rigger.
  • Prior experience in the construction, equipment or oil industry is preferred. 
  • Proficient at math and reading.
  • Must be able to accurately read a tape measure or digital micrometer.

Education:

  • HS Diploma or GED

 

Physical Requirements:

  • Lift up to 50 lbs of weight routinely during daily operations.
  • Use stomach & lower back muscles to support the body for long periods without getting tired.
  • Bend, stretch, twist, reach out, use multiple muscles to lift, push, pull, or carry heavy objects.

Equipment Used:

  • Use hand & power tools, machine shop press / cutters.
  • Industrial swaging machines, proof testing machines, and forklifts.

 

Qualities Preferred:

  • Must be persistent, energetic, and reliable.
  • Must be able to manage your time.
