We are seeking a Medical Billing and Coding Specialist. They are responsible for helping the healthcare facility manage insurance claims, invoices and payments. . The day-to-day work of a medical coding and billing specialist includes: Properly coding services, procedures, diagnoses, and treatments. Preparing and sending invoices or claims for payment.

Responsibilities:

• Properly coding services, procedures, diagnoses, and treatments
• Preparing and sending invoices or claims for payment
• Correcting rejected claims
• Tracking payments
• Following up with patients and insurance companies about outstanding bills

 

Qualifications:

• Must be proficient in Excel
• Should have excellent communication skills
• Follow up on any unpaid claims within standard billing time frames
• Will be responsible for calling any insurance companies regarding any discrepancies to payments
•  All accounts will be reviewed for insurance or patient follow up as needed
