Now Hiring a for Career Specialists in Abilene Texas. The Career Specialist provides job search assistance, conducts specialized program workshops, develops worksites for unsubsidized and subsidized employment, and prepares participants for employment.

This position is responsible for helping job seekers reach their employment goals. To perform this job
successfully, the Facilitator must be able to perform each duty, outlined below, satisfactorily>

• Develops and facilitates general orientations, training, workshops, and presentations for center
  programs to participants, and other partners, employees, and workforce staff as needed.
• Assists job seekers with completion of WIT registration and thorough resume development.
• Partner with other staff regarding job development efforts on behalf of job seeker customers.
• May assist in developing a strategy for participants and providing customer guidance in
  establishing self-sufficiency goals.
• Determine client’s eligibility for employment programs.
• Refer qualified clients that meet the employer’s job requirements.
• Conducts preliminary interview with job seekers to identify candidates for job postings, prior to
  referral, to ensure the job seekers meet or exceed the employer’s minimum requirements as
  stated in the job postings.
