SUMMARY

The Maintenance Team consists of experienced persons who possess an array of electro-mechanical backgrounds. These persons are responsible for maintaining the plant equipment in support of wire basket production. They work from production schedules, repair orders, equipment manuals, and print schematics. They are expected to proactively monitor equipment operations collaborating with machine operators to ensure that production schedules are met and that waste is minimized. These personnel are expected to validate work performed and to record efforts that will become part of the plant’s preventive maintenance program.

 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Adjusts, aligns, and balances equipment and controls equipment to perform required operations.

2. Analyzes problems and determines corrections, checking prints, manuals, work orders, and engineering information, as necessary.

3. Assembles, installs or repairs wiring, electrical and electronic components, pipe systems and plumbing, machinery, and equipment using hand and power tools.

4. Checks with engineering to ensure that numerical controlled programs meet production specifications.

5. Installs or changes parts and assemblies (i.e., hydraulic systems, electrical wiring and lubricants) according to specifications.

6. Maintains machines and equipment using knowledge of mechanics, shop mathematics, metal properties, layout and machining processes.

7. Makes necessary repairs in event of breakdown to re-establish operations.

8. Observes all company and plant safety rules, regulations, and procedures.

9. Observes, listens, and tests operating equipment to identify and diagnose malfunctions.

10. Participates in and follows training program information.

11. Prepares and records maintenance and repair information for entry into database.

12. Reads work orders and instructions to determine machine and equipment maintenance repair.

13. Works with operators and leadership to maintain machines and equipment.

14. Calculates dimensions and tolerances using knowledge of mathematics and instruments such as rulers, micrometers, and venire calipers.

15. Inventories machine parts, equipment, and other supplies creating work orders so that stock can be maintained.

16. Identifies and locates appropriate tools and materials in preparation of work to be performed.

17. Maintains equipment, machinery, and work environment by disposing of excess. 18. Performs preventive maintenance to ensure that machines and equipment continue to function efficiently.

19. Talks with engineering, supervision, and manufacturing personnel to exchange technical information.

20. Uses schedule and work orders to maintain equipment lubrication and component replacement cycles.

21. Other duties as assigned.

 

PAY: $25-$35 Based on Experience and Ability. Resume required.
