CNC Machinist

Located in Amsterdam, NY

Salary: $25.00-32.00/hr

We are currently seeking an experienced CNC Machinist to join our team in Amsterdam, NY! The ideal candidate will have a strong background in programming CNC Machinist for both one-of-a-kind precision parts and high-volume production components. 

Pay Rate: $25 - 32/hr. depending on experience

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate and program CNC machinery (Press Brake, Mill, Lathe, Saw) using MasterCAM software.
• Read and interpret blueprints to ensure precise part creation.
• Utilize drill presses, saws, and cutting machinery for part fabrication.
• Assemble, test, rebuild, and maintain hydraulic and pneumatic cylinders.
• Demonstrate proficiency in metal fabrication, welding, and equipment operation.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all safety protocols.
• Actively participate in cross-training, continuous improvement, and collaboration with colleagues.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Skills & Experience Required:

• Must be familiar with CNC software and machinery used for computer-aided manufacturing
• Minimum of 5 years experience as a CNC Machinist in a manufacturing environment specializing in metal fabrication or other related industrial products
• Knowledge of how to operate grinders, lathes and milling machines
• Math skills to take precise measurements and make calculations
• Excellent oral and communication skills
• Analytical and problem-solving skills to develop effective manufacturing plans based on specifications.
• Problem-solving skills to troubleshoot issues that arise during the manufacturing process.
• Understanding of health and safety regulations to reduce the risk of workplace accidents.
• Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively with management and co-workers.
• Must be detail oriented with attention to accuracy.
• Must be able to work with minimum supervision. 

Physical Demands:

• Physical activity includes standing, reaching, grasping, bending, reaching above shoulders and lifting up to 50 pounds.
