Our client is a family owned and operated business with over 50 years combined Logistics and Supply Chain Management. We are currently partnering in hiring a SQF Practitioner for their growing facility.

Wage: $65,000 per year

Responsibilities & Functions:

• Perform monthly SQF facility inspections
• Conducts / participates in SQF verification activities
• Conducts/participates in daily walks and reports
• Trains employees in Food Safety and Good Distribution Practices
• Identifies and corrects deviations and is responsible for the completion and publishing of Corrective Action reports
• Works directly with 3rd party auditors during annual food safety audit
• Responsible for coordinating overall HACCP requirements and GFSI certification
• Responsible for overseeing the quality of sanitation services in conjunction with the Sanitation Supervisor, Maintenance Manager and Facility Managers
• Ability to travel between facilities as required

Skills & Competencies:

• Education in food science, food engineering or related fields
• Strong knowledge of Food Safety programs (HACCP, GFSI, SQF, etc)
• Completed prerequisite courses in HACCP, SQF, and SQF: Internal audits would be an asset
• Experience in a similar role in the food industry
• Excellent written, oral communication and presentation skills
• Intermediate to advanced skills with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook)
• Must have people skills for working with individuals and teams
• Must have good organizational skills, be a self-starter and team player
• Attention to detail - data entry, analysis, counts, reviewing work
