Our client is backed by 140 years of manufacturing and engineering experience and looking for a Millwright/Pump Assembler. Our client is committed to the quality manufacturing and ongoing development of pumps for industrial and municipal services.
Wage: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
Responsibilities:
- Build and disassemble a variety of pumps to specifications.
- Inspect and diagnose pumps to identify any issues or malfunctions.
- Fasten or install pumping, fixtures, wiring and electrical components to form assemblies or sub-assemblies.
- Remove rough spots and smooth surfaces to fit, trim or clean parts, using hand tools or power tools.
- Position or align components for assembly, manually or using hoises
- Set and verify parts clearance.
- Perform repairs, such as, repacking stuffing boxes, and replacing bearings, using hand tools.
- Lay out and drill.
Skills & Experiences:
- Own toolbox and personal hand tools required.
- Ability to read and interpret assembly blueprints or specification manuals.
- Proficiency in handling electric motors, understanding their components.
- Excel in fabrication techniques
- Painting experiences an asset.
- Must be able to lift up to and including 50 lbs
