We are looking to hire an Experienced Manual Mill & Lathe Operator for a client in Noblesville, IN. This role is great for someone who has 2-5 years of experience. Hours: 6:00am-4:30pm Monday-Thursday; Overtime on Friday when necessary

Pay: Starting at $22/hour based on experience and skill level

 

Job Description for the Manual Mill & Lathe Operator:

  • Prepare and set up manual mill & lathe machines, including securing workpieces, tool selection, and loading programs.
  • Install and adjust tooling, cutting speeds, and feeds to optimize machining processes.
  • Ensure machine components are properly calibrated and aligned.
  • Operate manual machines to perform various machining operations such as turning, milling, drilling, and grinding.
  • Conduct in-process and final inspections to ensure that products meet quality standards and specifications.
  • Perform routine maintenance on machines, including cleaning, lubricating, and replacing worn or damaged parts.
  • Follow all relevant regulations and quality control procedures.
  • Maintain accurate records of production activities, including work orders, inspection reports, and machine maintenance logs.
  • Assist in keeping inventory of tooling and materials needed for production.
  • Adhere to safety guidelines and protocols to ensure a safe working environment.

 

Requirements for the Manual Mill & Lathe Operator:

  • 1-2 years minimum experience operating Manual Mill and/or Lathe machines
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Technical or vocational training in machining is preferred.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and blueprints.
  • Strong mathematical and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with precision measuring instruments.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects.
