Express is hiring an Accountant for a strong local accounting firm that provides accounting and tax services to individuals and businesses.  The ideal candidate is a CPA or on the CPA track.  

 

Essential Functions

• Preparation of corporate, individual, partnership, fiduciary, and other tax returns
• Prepare compiled, reviewed, and audited financial statements 
• May include bookkeeping and payroll services

Key Skills and Traits

• Must have at least a college undergraduate degree and have completed (or be near completion of) at least 30 hours of college-level accounting courses
• Some experience with accounting practice is preferred but this position can be trained for someone with the required educational background
• Familiar with pertinent IRC sections and regulations
• Understand the rules, requirements, and code of conduct of the AICPA, and the authoritative literature established by the GASB and FASB
• Working knowledge of tax and accounting research techniques and the various research sources in the firm library
• Capable of learning firm technology, including the use of the office network, e-mail, the Internet, and firm spreadsheet
• Software for word processing, tax preparation, write-ups, and payroll 

Compensation

Compensation from $25 to $40, depending on licensure status and years of direct experience.  When this position goes permanently onto our client''s payroll, they will be eligible for the client''s benefits package:
