Responsibilities include day-to-day ordinary and recurring purchasing activities. Typical assignments involve procurement of basic supplies, equipment, and services known as MRO as well as procurement of materials for Production requirements. Expediting purchase orders as needed to ensure that goods are received on time. Duties may include some clerical tasks, but most of the responsibility is related to actioning purchase requirements, negotiating, expediting, P.O. and Supplier Management. Purchasing authority is limited and the work product is generally reviewed by higher level purchasing staff.
