We are seeking a Quality Assurance Inspector with our client, a manufacturing company located in Belleville!

 

This is an evaluation-hire 1st shift opportunity to get in with a company that is experiencing great growth.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • On-going inspection of incoming (vendor) parts and products when required.
  • Inspection of manufactured piece parts, and assembled products.
  • Initiate, set-up, and perform Quality audits in all assembly areas, Glue area, Machine Shop, spray area and clean/pack, including documenting and recording results for review and evaluation.
  • Employee will be responsible for inspecting the items ion the material requisitions. They will need to lift up to 30 lbs.
  • Employee will need to inspect all overseas shipment as stated in company guidelines.
  • Assist in ongoing quality improvements and cost reductions. Suggest and implement creative, innovative, and practical solutions to overcome problems and concerns, addressing all issues relating to the advancement of the design such as: appearance, cost, operation, durability, safety, ease of manufacture, and value to the customer.
  • Assist with training of employees upon request to assure that the defined policies and procedures meet or exceed their objectives.
  • Other duties may be assigned as needed

Qualifications:

o Strong interpersonal and communication skills both verbal and written with a proven ability to be assertive yet approachable delivering positive customer service and team experience.

o Basic understanding of inspection processes including component measurement techniques, specifications, and drawings.

o Demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness; actively seek opportunities to improve and promote quality and monitor own work to ensure quality is met.

o Self-motivated, organized, able to multi-task, prioritize and excel in a fast-paced environment while exercising initiative and judgment as well as making decisions within scope of assigned authority.

o Proficient with MS Office programs including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

 

Education and/or Experience:

Associate degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school and 3-5 years related experience.

 

Schedule: Full time, day shift role

 

Pay: Starting at $26 - $27/hr based on experience
