Express Employment is looking for a Journeyman Millwright for a company in Cowlitz County! 

 

Hourly Pay: $36-$39

Schedule: 12-hour rotating shifts

Job Overview: The Maintenance Journeyman Millwright is tasked with ensuring the smooth operation of equipment and machinery in the cold end section, from the end of the Lehr machine to the palletizers.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Carry out routine, preventive, and emergency repairs efficiently and safely.
  • Execute precision equipment installations using appropriate measuring instruments.
  • Set up and calibrate measuring and inspection tools throughout the facility.
  • Skillfully use trade tools, including testing and measuring devices, rigging equipment, and all necessary safety gear.
  • Demonstrate expertise in oxy-acetylene cutting, structural welding (AWS D1.1), and pipe welding (ANSI/ASME 31.1).
  • Adhere to all safety programs and guidelines.

Required Skills:

  • Ability to read and understand documents such as safety regulations, operating and maintenance instructions, blueprints, schematics, and procedure manuals.
  • Proficiency in basic arithmetic, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division, using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
  • Capability to compute rates, ratios, and percentages, and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Competent computer skills, including data entry into databases.
  • Strong communication skills, including presentation, persuasion, and negotiation abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment with a cooperative attitude.
  • Willingness and ability to obtain a Washington Electrical License.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Journeyman Card or a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Ability to work 12-hour rotating shifts.
  • Washington State Electrical License is preferred.
  • Experience with PLC programming and troubleshooting, as well as electrical or electronics training, is highly desirable.
