Shifts:

DAY: Monday - Thursday 4am - 230pm (Occasional additional day(s) and overtime expected to support business needs)

SWING: Monday - Thursday 230pm - 1am (Occasional additional day(s) and overtime expected to support business needs)

 

$18.00 per hour and higher depending on experience, Shift differential depending on shift

 

 

The successful candidate for our Punch Press Operator will operate and set-up a variety of punch presses (feinblank and conventional presses) and supporting equipment to achieve production of parts to manufacturing component prints.

Duties:

• Operate all presses in the area.
• Perform difficult set-ups and change-overs to close and complex tolerances.
• Monitor output and proper operation of equipment. Makes mechanical and/or program adjustments to ensure parts are meeting quantity and quality requirements as necessary.
• Conduct regular quality audits of parts produced by measuring and inspecting components to tight tolerances. This includes visual defects, pits, and scratches, die break, die tear, incomplete stamp details and any other specification.
• Load and unload coils of steel.
• Operate and clean stock straighteners.
• Clean and lubricate machines.
• Operate CMM and enter CMM data.
• Fill out and complete all necessary forms and documents.
• Operate various powered industrial trucks.

Experience and Education Requirements:

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Basic knowledge and understanding of fine blank and progressive die operation and components.
• Two years formal technical training and one year work experience in manufacturing environment or three years technical job experience with progressive complex machining assignment required, five years preferred.
• Basic shop math proficiency.
• Advanced inspection and measuring skills required, including optical comparators, hardness testers, and height gauges.
• Basic blueprint reading and computer skills required.
