Salary: $20- $25/hour

Express Employment is looking for an experienced Finance Assistant for a longstanding local company. Must have prior experience in accounting, bookkeeping or other finance related fields. This is a Temporary, 1-3 month, position with the potential to extend.

 

Pay Range: $20 - $25/ hour

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Answer phones and assist clients with questions regarding applications and other inquiries.
• Call past due customers to follow up on outstanding accounts and provide necessary support.
• Set up AR accounts and ensure accurate and timely record-keeping.
• Import bills of lading and prepare credit information for new or existing clients.
• Oversee month-end statement printing and support AR retail accounts.
• Prepare and verify BOLs (Bills of Lading) and truck/trailer paperwork.
• Assist in setting up new accounts and price quotes.
• Assist with reporting for a variety of state taxes (weekly, monthly, and hourly) and other agency requirements.
• Other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certifications in accounting or related fields are a plus.
• Previous experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or tax related fields.
• Intermediate experience in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and other relevant software.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
