Job Summary:

As a Machine Operator, you will be responsible for advanced machine operation, including setup and operation of trim presses, drilling and tapping machines, port and stem machines, vibratory systems, and parts washing. You will be expected to independently perform these tasks with minimal supervision and train basic machine operators as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

• Machine Operation: Set up and operate trim presses, port and stem machines, vibratory machines, and drill/tap fixturing.
• Quality Assurance: Ensure all operations are performed in a quality-conscious and safe manner. Maintain daily product and scrap records.
• Problem Solving: Report any issues with tools, equipment, fixtures, or setup to the supervisor.
• Training: Provide on-the-job training for basic machine operators on machine setup.
• Miscellaneous Duties: Perform additional tasks as assigned by the machine shop or production supervisor.

Qualifications:

• Experience: 2-3 years of work experience in a related field is a plus.
• Skills: Proficient in machine setup and operation. Ability to read, write, and count. Good hand-eye coordination and communication skills.
• Physical Requirements: Must be able to stand, walk, kneel for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs occasionally.
• Work Environment: Moderate noise levels; ear and eye protection may be required. Ability to work alone for extended periods.
