ob Title: Controller (Manufacturing Company)

Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced and skilled Controller to join our dynamic manufacturing company. As the Controller, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the financial operations of the organization. You will play a critical role in providing accurate financial information, developing strategic financial plans, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. This position reports directly to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to the growth and success of our company.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Financial Planning and Analysis:

    • Collaborate with the CFO and executive team to develop comprehensive financial plans and budgets.
    • Monitor and analyze financial performance, identifying variances, trends, and opportunities for improvement.
    • Prepare regular financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, and present findings to management.
  2. Cost Control and Budget Management:

    • Implement cost control measures to optimize operational efficiency and reduce expenses.
    • Oversee the budgeting process, ensuring adherence to financial goals and targets.
    • Monitor and analyze budget performance and recommend adjustments as needed.
  3. Financial Reporting and Compliance:

    • Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, including compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and other relevant regulations.
    • Maintain financial records and documentation in accordance with company policies and audit requirements.
    • Coordinate and support external audits and assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports.
  4. Inventory Management:

    • Supervise inventory tracking systems to ensure accuracy and reliability of inventory data.
    • Collaborate with the operations team to optimize inventory levels and minimize carrying costs.
  5. Cash Flow Management:

    • Manage cash flow and working capital to support ongoing operations and capital investments.
    • Implement strategies to optimize cash flow and maintain adequate liquidity.
  6. Financial Forecasting and Risk Management:

    • Conduct financial forecasting to identify potential risks and opportunities.
    • Develop and implement risk management strategies to mitigate financial uncertainties.
  7. Team Leadership and Development:

    • Lead and manage the finance team, providing guidance, training, and mentoring to enhance their skills and performance.
    • Foster a collaborative and positive work environment that promotes teamwork and professional growth.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor''s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; Master''s degree or CPA qualification is a plus.
  • Proven experience as a Controller or similar financial management role in a manufacturing company.
  • Thorough knowledge of accounting principles, financial analysis, budgeting, and cost control.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and advanced proficiency in financial software and MS Excel.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities to effectively convey complex financial information to stakeholders.
  • Ability to adapt to changing business needs and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities and experience managing a finance team.
