Salary: $20-$25hour DOE

Overview: A local utilities services office needs a Temporary HR Assistant for 6-8 weeks starting the first week of August. The primary responsibility of the HR Assistant will be to organize the recordkeeping system and transition physical files to electronic format and organize them within the electronic recordkeeping system.

 

JOB DUTIES:

May include but not limited to the following:

  • Partner with HR team to plan and execute record reorganization project.
  • Transition physical records to electronic format and organization records; maintains accurate and up-to-date human resources files, records, and documentation. Maintains the integrity and confidentiality of human resource files and records.
  • Point of contact for questions and refers questions to HR staff or appropriate manager.
  • Provides clerical support to the Human Resources department.
  • Schedule and conduct job interviews for candidates.
  • Assists with planning and execution of special events such as organization-wide meetings, employee recognition events, holiday parties, and retirement celebrations.
  • Research and compile information as requested.
  • Enter data into spreadsheets, word documents, and HR information systems.
  • Complete employment verification and other related request.
  • Performs other duties and special projects as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Associate’s degree in related field required
  • Prior related office experience in Human Resources setting preferred
  • Outstanding organizational skills and high attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
  • Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn payroll management, human resource information system (HRIS), and similar computer applications
  • Familiarity with ATS and HRIS platform(s) is preferred
  • Ability to set at a desk working on a computer for prolonged periods
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times

Hours/Shift:
Part time Monday – Friday 10AM-3PM

 

Pay:
$20.00-$25.00/hour DOE
