Job Description:

As a Certified Dietary Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the dietary department operates efficiently and effectively. Your primary responsibilities will include:

• Leadership and Management: Direct and manage the dietary department, providing leadership and guidance to the dietary staff.
• Budget Development: Develop and manage the capital and operations budgets for the dietary department, ensuring financial efficiency and accountability.
• Regulatory Compliance: Assure regulatory compliance for all food services provided by the dietary department, adhering to local, state, and federal regulations.
• Food Safety and Sanitation: Follow and enforce food safety and sanitation guidelines to maintain high standards of cleanliness and safety in all food service operations.
• Ordering and Purchasing: Order and purchase food and supplies from licensed vendors, ensuring the quality and availability of necessary items.

Qualifications:

• Education: High School diploma or GED equivalent.
• Certification: Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) certification.
• Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in a dietary management role or a related field.
• Skills and Abilities:
• Strong leadership and managerial skills.
• Excellent organizational and budgeting skills.
• Thorough knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with other departments and staff members.
