Hours: Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm ONSITE 

A Senior Accountant is responsible for ensuring the integrity of accounting information by recording, verifying, consolidating, and entering transactions. They provide financial information to management by researching and analyzing accounting data and preparing reports. This role typically involves managing accounting operations, coordinating audits, and working with internal and external stakeholders to ensure compliance with financial regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
• General Ledger Maintenance: Oversee and maintain the general ledger, ensuring all entries are accurate and comply with company policies and relevant accounting standards.
• Account Reconciliation: Perform and review monthly account reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance.
• Audit Coordination: Coordinate internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and responses to auditor inquiries.
• Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts and analyze variances between actuals and forecasts/budgets.
• Compliance: Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal financial legal requirements by researching existing and new legislation, consulting with outside advisors, and filing financial reports.
• Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy in financial reporting and operations.
• Internal Controls: Develop, document, and maintain effective internal controls and procedures to safeguard company assets and ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Mentorship: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior accounting staff, ensuring their development and adherence to best practices.
• Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis and provide insights to management for strategic decision-making.
