Express Employment Professionals is hiring a Manual Machinist for a family-owned company that produces high-quality American made products for the logging, marine and solid waste sectors.
As a Manual Machinist, you will be responsible for:
- Reading and interpreting blueprints and schematics.
- Machining parts to prints using manual lathes, mills and larger size equipment.
- Performing all quality checks to ensure parts are to specs.
- Performing set-up and operation of various machine tools.
- Operating material handling equipment, such as hoists, cranes, or dollies.
- Providing excellent customer service to the logging customers who visit the shop.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Manual machinist skills, including single point cutting and working with very tight tolerances.
- Mechanical aptitude and keen eye for detail.
- Ability to lift and maneuver 50lbs repeatedly throughout the shift.
- Ability to stand for long periods.
- Team player and multitasker attitude.
This is a full-time, day shift position (M-F 7am-4:30pm) with wages ranging from $18.00 - $25.00 /hr depending on experience. You will also receive a performance review after 30 - 60 - 90 days and have the opportunity to grow with the company.
Starting at $18-$20 during training.
