Express Employment Professionals is now hiring for a Customer Service Representative to join one of top employers in Salem, OR. This position incorporates order entry and tracking and world class customer service. The person in the role will be responsible for processing customer orders, and researching and resolving issues.

 

 

Some of the position responsibilities include:

  • Read and interpret customer related documents, and discern customer expectations and requirements from a variety of sources, both verbal and written.
  • Write routine reports and correspondence in a consistently professional and courteous manner.
  • Communicate by phone or in person with customers and others in a consistently professional and courteous manner.
  • Make independent decisions within the operating procedures
  • Mastery of repetitive functions within the job.
  • Meet progressive productivity requirements with consistent accuracy.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentages.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

 

Knowledge, skills, and abilities required:

  • Strong computer skills, including MS Office Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Strong oral, written and interpersonal skills and strong customer service skills, including etiquette
  • Experience working within an SAP
  • Demonstrates accuracy and speed with 10-key.
  • Ability to multitask and easily return focus to various tasks given frequent interruptions.
  • Ability to respond to and resolve customer issues in a timely manner.

Education and Experience Required:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a Business, Science, or a Supply Chain related discipline preferred.
  • 2 or more years of customer service within office environment and 1 year or more of customer service or sales order entry experience preferred

 

Schedule: Monday through Friday 8am-4:30pm

Compensation: $21/hr.

Duration: Evaluation to hire
