LPN Instructor

Located in Edmonton, AB

Salary: $30/hour

An Edmonton client is seeking an LPN Instructor to join their team.

LPN Instructor Highlights:

·         Participate in instructor-led orientation of new students online and/or by phone.

·         Answer emails in real-time or engage in instant messaging with students.

·         Respond to student emails within 24 hours of receipt.

·         Deliver instruction that meets module and program objectives, as outlined in the Alberta Health Services curriculum, in both face-to-face and online settings.

·         Participate in the development and evaluation of curriculum and instructional materials.

·         Prepare course outlines and teaching materials.

·         Evaluate student progress; generate, administer, and mark student coursework and exams.

·         Monitor and discuss students’ progress at both an individual and group level.

·         Assign and post grades.

·         Hold consultations with weaker students to enhance learning.

·         Address attendance issues or other problems as they arise.

·         Administer reference and criminal checks as required.

·         Skills / Abilities:

·         Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

·         Presentation and group facilitation skills.

·         Ability to motivate, engage, and inspire students.

·         Relevant industry skills and knowledge relating to the area of instruction, including ongoing professional development and continuous improvement.

·         High standards of behavior, a professional attitude, and commitment to quality service.

·         Ability to work cooperatively with other instructors and staff.

·         Ability to learn and use technology to enhance the student learning experience.

·         Required Education / Experience:

·         Related diploma or degree from a recognized post-secondary institution.

·         3+ years' experience as an LPN or RN.

·         Active LPN or RN license.

·         Teaching experience is an asset.

LPN Instructor Hours & Wage

·         8:00 am – 4:00 pm – Monday to Friday

·         $30/hour
