JOB DESCRIPTION:

Must be able to handle up to 60 pounds tubes of apples for up to 12 hours a shift.  While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand, use hands to finger, handle or feel objects tools or controls; and reach with hands and arms.  The employee is frequently required to walk, climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.  The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 60 pounds and rarely lift/move up to 80 pounds. 

To perform this job successfully, individuals must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.  The requirements listed below are the representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.

• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos
• Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations.
• Ability to use basic math skills, such as addition, subtraction and multiplication.

 WORKING CONDITIONS:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee will regularly wok near moving mechanical parts.  The employee is regularly exposed to hot and very humid conditions.  Noise level in the work area can be very loud.

SAFETY & DRESS REQUIREMENTS:

All employees are required to wear a hair net, bump cap, safety glasses and earplugs in the production area.  Due to oil residue in the processing area, some areas may be slick.  Jeans, t-shirts and sneakers are the dress code.  NO: Tank tops, shorts or open toed shoes

SHIFTS:

Day Shift: 6:00a-6:00p / Night Shift: 6:00p-6:00a

BREAKS:

15 minute breaks every 2 hours / 30 minute lunch

PAY: $16.75 P/H
