Express Employment of Brighton is assisting a company in Dexter in its search for a Machinist/ Shop Laborer. This company is a leading supplier of custom and commercial cabinetry.

The ideal candidate will have experience with a variety of tools and machinery and should be comfortable working with an edge bander, dowell machine and possibly CNC machines.

Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate a variety of machine tools to produce precision pieces.
- Interpret technical drawings to determine machining procedures
- Monitor the feed and speed of machines during the machining process
- Inspect machined parts to ensure they meet quality standards
- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues as they arise
- Perform routine maintenance on machinery

Qualifications:
- Proficiency in using hand tools and measuring instruments
- Familiarity with CNC machines
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
- Strong mathematical skills for basic calculations
