Express Employment Professionals is currently seeking an Industrial Electrician to join our client’s established team in East Hants. Our client is one of Eastern Canada’s leading natural resource manufacturers and has been voted one of the 50 Best-Managed Companies in Canada.

The successful candidate will be an integral part of the site maintenance team, carrying out preventative maintenance, daily breakdowns and repairs on heavy machinery with safety as the priority.

This position would suit a Red Seal Electrician with a strong background in an industrial or production environment, with exceptional troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities:

• Work as part of the team to troubleshoot and repair equipment ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards.
• Perform work in a manner consistent with plant safety, housekeeping standards, and quality checks.
• Annual maintenance support of the site electrical network and equipment.
• Communicate with both the maintenance team and the production customers to ensure effective service.
• Provide technical assistance with projects as necessary.
• Support for new equipment process installations and startup.
• Proficiency with information analysis and decision modeling.

Requirements:

• Valid Nova Scotia Red Seal or Journeyman Electrician Certification.
• Previous experience in an industrial or production environment preferred.
• Experience with CMMS systems and preventive maintenance practices would be an asset.
• Safety and quality focus.
• Arc flash knowledge or training.
• A professional, responsive, and positive work attitude is essential.
• Strong computer skills.
• A quick learner & ability to work with minimal supervision.
• A methodical & organized approach to problem-solving.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Customer support oriented.

• Pay is $33-$35 per hour depending on experience
