Express Employment Professionals is currently seeking Industrial Millwright Maintenance Mechanics to join our client’s established team in East Hants. Our client is one of Eastern Canada’s leading natural resource manufacturers and has been voted one of the 50 Best-Managed Companies in Canada.

The successful candidate will be an integral part of the site maintenance team, carrying out preventative maintenance and repairs on heavy machinery with safety as the priority.

This position would suit a Red Seal Millwright with a strong background in an industrial or production environment, with exceptional machining, mechanical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities:

• Troubleshoot, problem-solve and repair production machinery and equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance on site production equipment and provide advice and support to production employees carrying out maintenance and repairs.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and keep preventative maintenance system up to date.
• Other mechanical duties as required to support and maintain production and the physical plant.

Requirements:

• Nova Scotia Red Seal Licensed Millwright-Industrial Mechanic.
• Minimum three years of experience as a Millwright or Industrial Mechanic, preferably in a production environment.
• Safety and quality focus.
• Welding experience an asset.
• Competent in computer skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Maintains a high level of integrity and accountability.
• Easily adaptable in the field as the demands of the plant change.
• Ability to work shift work and overtime as required.
