Local Odessa company is searching for a Manual Machinist. This growing company is looking to hire a Manual Machinist who will be responsible for setting up and operating manual machines to produce precision parts.

Duties:

•             Set up and operate manual machines such as milling machines, lathes, presses and grinders

•             Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications

•             Use precision measuring instruments such as micrometers and calipers to ensure accuracy

•             Monitor machine operations to ensure quality and efficiency

•             Select appropriate tooling and fixtures and make adjustments as needed 

•             Perform basic math calculations to determine feeds, speeds, and dimensions 

•             Inspect finished parts for defects and make necessary corrections

•             Conduct basic maintenance and repairs on equipment 

 

Requirements:

•             3+ years in manual machining experience

•             2+ years mechanical experience

•             2+ years reading blueprints, drawings, and specifications

•             2+ years experience using precision tools to take accurate measurements
