Lead Carpenter

Salary: $28 to $30

Express is looking for a Professional lead carpenter with 5+ yrs of carpentry experience in leadership role.

Must be well-rounded with solid finish skills, strong attention to detail, and excellent leadership skills.

Leads a crew in the performance of the following duties:

Designs, constructs, remodels, retrofits, paints, and repairs interior and exterior structures made of wood, drywall, plaster, concrete or brick.

Ability to:

Lead and motivate a team of highly-skilled carpenters and laborers

Design, build, install, and repair structural woodwork, flooring, ceilings and cabinetry

Operate, maintain, and calibrate hand and power carpentry tools

Read and comprehend plans and blueprints

 Recognize and select appropriate lumber types and grades o Make rough sketches

Estimate cost, time, and materials of carpentry projects

Perform heavy physical labor, train and direct the work of laborers

Follow and give oral and written instructions o Maintain cooperative working relationships o Demonstrate sensitivity to, and respect for, a diverse population o Work independently and unsupervised while adhering to established timelines
