Our client, a manufacturer of construction products located in the East End, is looking for a Buyer to join their team on a full-time basis.

Duties may include, but are not limited to:

• Identify and source potential suppliers and vendors
• Evaluate supplier proposals, negotiate terms, and establish contracts
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers (approximately 25-30)
• Collaborate with suppliers to improve quality, reduce costs, and optimize delivery schedules
• Negotiate favorable terms and conditions with suppliers to secure cost-effective deals chain
• Process purchase orders accurately and in a timely manner
• Track and expedite orders to ensure on-time delivery
• Conduct market research to identify potential new suppliers and cost-saving opportunities
• Work within established budgets and financial guidelines
• Manage min/max setting in ERP system
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of purchases, contracts, and supplier information
• Other duties as assigned

Required skills and qualifications:

• College diploma or bachelor’s in supply chain management
• 3-5 years’ experience in a procurement, purchasing, or a buyer role
• Previous experience using an ERP system
• Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• Team player mentality
• Ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines and turnaround times
• Exceptional organizational and time management skills
• Fluently bilingual (French and English) a strong asset

Wage: $31.00 - $38.00 per hour depending on skills and experience

Monday to Friday – 8:00am to 5:00pm
