Senior Quality Technician

Located in Grand Rapids, MI

Salary: $22-$26/hr

Senior Quality Technician Job Summary:

We are looking to fill a Senior Quality Technician role for a local manufacturer of machined parts in Grand Rapids, MI. They make precision parts for a variety of industries. The Senior Quality Technician will complete roaming inspections, process audits, and gauge calibrations.

 

Senior Quality Technician Responsibilities:

• Perform product/material testing, audits, and inspections
• Contribute support for CAPA (Corrective and Preventative Actions) activities
• Identify areas of improvement and participate in continuous improvement projects
• Perform testing, gather and record data, analyze results and report product and in-process monitoring test results
• Draft work instructions for 100% sort or rework operations
• Complete gauge calibration and maintenance activities.
• Create and maintain data files and forms
• Initiate and assist in the investigation and disposition of nonconforming materials
• Review device history records (DHR) and acceptance records to ensure all quality assurance activities have been performed and approved
• Update databases and spreadsheets used to track, monitor, and report department activities. Communicate with a wide variety of personnel in and across Manufacturing and Quality Teams

Schedule & Pay:

• Monday-Friday, 6AM-4PM, overtime as needed 
• $22.00-$26.00/HR 

Senior Quality Technician Qualifications:

• Must be self-directed and have the ability to read and follow detailed work instructions
• Quality inspection, fine motor skills, excellent measuring to ensure within tight tolerance requirements, ability to see detail using a microscope
• Ability to read blueprints
• Experience with quality tools including but not limited to calipers and micrometers
• Quick learning, organized and has attention to detail
• Basic Microsoft Office experience is necessary
• High School Diploma or GED and be able to pass a national background check
• A minimum of one year of work experience is required
• Ability to lift, push, pull 20 pounds
