Job Title: Senior Tax Manager

Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm

Description/Requirements:

The senior tax manager's primary responsibilities are to supervise a team of other tax professionals and complete a variety of additional tax-related duties. This position is responsible for overseeing internal audits, developing and maintaining company tax policies, and ensuring the business is in compliance with relevant tax codes on local, state, federal, and international levels. This position also documents after-tax revenue payments, deductions, and other expenses.

• Prepare and review tax returns for businesses (partnerships including LLCs, C and  S corporations) and individuals (personal, estate and trusts) including related research and planning
• Review bookkeeping and accounting necessary to support tax return preparation, including accrual to cash, (M-1) entries, and related supporting work papers
• Prepare and review tax projections for quarterly estimates
• Respond to IRS and other regulatory agency inquiries
• Manage client expectations
• Identify unusual and/or unexpected items in client data suggesting further analysis or inquiry which may be necessary
• Supervise and train professional staff members
• Maintain a fun and productive work environment
• Maintain professional development
• Provide growth for professional staff through internal and external formal training seminars and on the job training

 Qualifications

• CPA, JD or Equivalent
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related finance, Required [Masters of Tax preferred]
• Self-motivated with a desire to learn and perform excellent work
• Attention to detail and highly developed analytical skills
• Above average time management skills
• Excellent interpersonal and communication (oral and written) skills
• 7+ years relevant work experience
