CNC Machinist

1st and 2nd shift

Location: Meriden and Hartford area

Pay rate: $18-25+/hr DOE

Job Description: We are seeking experienced CNC Machinists to join our production team. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC machines to produce parts according to specifications and quality standards.

Responsibilities:

• Set up CNC machines (mills, lathes, or other equipment) according to job orders and blueprints.
• Load materials into CNC machines and adjust machine settings to ensure accurate production.
• Monitor machine operations to detect any issues or malfunctions.
• Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
• Perform routine maintenance on CNC machines to ensure optimal performance.
• Troubleshoot and resolve problems with CNC programs and equipment.
• Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Collaborate with engineers, programmers, and other team members to optimize production processes.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or vocational training in machining preferred.
• Proven experience as a CNC Machinist or similar role in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
• Strong understanding of CNC programming and G-code.
• Ability to use precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, etc.).
• Knowledge of tooling selection, tool setup, and tool path optimization.
• Attention to detail and ability to maintain high quality standards.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
• Willingness to work flexible hours and overtime as needed.
