Job Summary: We are looking for an experienced and safety-conscious Overhead Crane Operator to manage and operate overhead cranes in our manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of crane operation, load handling, and safety protocols. This role requires precision, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with other team members.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate overhead cranes to lift, move, and position loads accurately within the facility.
• Inspect cranes and lifting equipment daily to ensure they are in good working condition.
• Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on cranes as needed.
• Follow load charts and safety guidelines to ensure safe operation.
• Communicate effectively with riggers, signalers, and other team members to coordinate load movements.
• Adhere to all safety regulations and protocols to prevent accidents and injuries.
• Maintain accurate records of crane operations, inspections, and maintenance activities.
• Assist with other tasks in the facility as required.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience operating overhead cranes in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Knowledge of crane operation, load charts, and rigging techniques.
• Strong understanding of safety standards and protocols related to crane operation.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and load specifications.
• Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
• Physical fitness and the ability to perform manual labor tasks as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certification from a recognized body such as NCCCO (National Commission for the Certification of Crane Operators) or equivalent.
• Experience with different types of overhead cranes (e.g., bridge cranes, gantry cranes).
• Familiarity with basic maintenance and troubleshooting of crane equipment.
