Position Overview: Express Employment Professionals is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Journeyman Carpenter to join our network of talented professionals in Paducah, KY. This role involves performing a range of carpentry tasks with precision and expertise. The successful candidate will demonstrate a solid understanding of carpentry techniques and a track record of delivering high-quality work on various projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Carpentry Work: Execute a variety of carpentry tasks including framing, installing trim, cabinetry, and finishes, and repairing or replacing structural components.
• Blueprint Reading: Accurately read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine project requirements and ensure precise construction.
• Site Preparation: Set up work areas effectively, including measuring, cutting, and assembling materials according to project specifications.
• Tool Operation: Safely operate and maintain carpentry tools and equipment.
• Quality Control: Perform work to the highest standards, ensuring all projects meet or exceed industry and company quality standards.
• Problem Solving: Address and resolve issues that arise during construction or renovation projects.
• Collaboration: Coordinate with other tradespeople, subcontractors, and project managers to ensure project success.
• Safety: Follow all safety protocols and practices to maintain a safe working environment.

Qualifications:

• Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a carpenter with expertise in both residential and commercial carpentry.
• Skills: Proficiency in carpentry techniques, tool operation, and construction methods; ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Certification: Valid journeyman carpenter certification or equivalent experience.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to lift heavy materials, work in various weather conditions, and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Attention to Detail: Strong focus on quality and precision in carpentry work.
• Communication: Effective communication skills for interacting with team members, clients, and project managers.

Preferred Qualifications (Not Required):

• Additional Skills: Experience with specialized carpentry techniques or materials.
• Licensing: Additional certifications or licenses related to carpentry or construction.

Pay Rate:

• $25-30 per hour, based on experience
