We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Tax Accountant to join our clients CPA office. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing tax returns, ensuring compliance with tax laws and regulations, and providing strategic tax planning and advice to clients. This role requires strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a thorough understanding of tax codes and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Tax Preparation and Filing:

  • Prepare federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, businesses, trusts, and nonprofit organizations.
  • Ensure accurate and timely filing of all tax returns.

• Tax Planning and Advisory:

  • Provide clients with proactive tax planning and strategies to minimize tax liabilities.
  • Advise clients on tax implications of business decisions and transactions.

• Compliance and Research:

  • Stay updated on federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.
  • Conduct tax research and analysis to ensure compliance and identify tax-saving opportunities.

• Client Interaction and Support:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients.
  • Respond to client inquiries and provide exceptional customer service.
  • Assist clients with tax-related issues and represent them during audits and tax disputes.

• Documentation and Record-Keeping:

  • Maintain organized and detailed records of all tax-related documents and correspondence.
  • Ensure proper documentation of tax positions and file maintenance.

• Team Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with other team members to deliver comprehensive tax services.
  • Provide support and mentorship to junior staff and interns.

Qualifications:

• Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • CPA certification is required.
