Job Description:

Our client, a reputable Long Term Care Facility, is seeking a dedicated Administrative Assistant to join their team. This position plays a crucial role in supporting daily operations, with a primary focus on basic billing and proficiency in Microsoft Excel. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handle basic billing tasks including invoicing, payment processing, and reconciliation of accounts.
  • Utilize Microsoft Excel to maintain spreadsheets, create reports, and analyze financial data accurately.
  • Assist with administrative duties such as document management, filing, and correspondence.
  • Answer phone calls and emails promptly, directing inquiries to appropriate staff members.
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
  • Support other departments as needed with administrative tasks and special projects.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in Office Administration or related field preferred.
  • Proven experience in an administrative role, preferably within a healthcare or long term care setting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including ability to create spreadsheets, use formulas, and generate reports.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision as well as part of a team.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology and understanding of healthcare administrative processes is advantageous.
